Marks of a Biblical Dad

Jun 15, 2025    Wes White

As part of our Joshua teaching series, Pastor Wes shifted focus to celebrate Father's Day with a powerful message on the sacred calling of fatherhood, using Deuteronomy 6:1-9 as his foundation. He emphasized that true biblical fatherhood begins with a deep, personal relationship with God; it’s not just about knowing Him, but about loving Him with all our heart, soul, and strength.

Pastor Wes challenged fathers to be intentional in their roles. He urged them to teach, mentor, and disciple their children not only in formal settings but also through the everyday rhythms of life. He encouraged men to view their children as divine gifts, helping them to dream and guiding them toward their God-given purposes.

This message also highlights the importance of men loving and honoring their wives, providing for their families both spiritually and materially, and creating homes characterized by peace. Even during difficult times, men are called to persevere, never giving up on their children, and keep trusting that the seeds of faith they sow will eventually flourish.

As we reflect on this message, may every father and spiritual leader be inspired to walk in strength, courage, and wisdom to build a legacy that points to Christ.
