Marks of a Disciple

Aug 3, 2025    Wes White

In part one of this teaching series, "Marks of a Disciple," Pastor Wes introduces us to F.A.I.T.H, a framework that highlights the core traits of a true follower of Christ. This week, he focused on the first three marks: Faithful, Available, and Intentional.

Through scriptures, we were reminded that God is faithful, and as His disciples, we are called to mirror that faithfulness in our commitments, character, and calling. Noah’s obedience in building the ark, even when the outcome seemed uncertain, shows us that faithfulness requires trust and perseverance.

The second mark, Availability, challenges us to make space in our busy lives to respond to God’s call and the Holy Spirit’s prompting. Isaiah’s declaration, “Here am I. Send me” in Isaiah 6:8 encourages us to live with open hands and willing hearts, ready to serve however and wherever God leads.

Lastly, Intentionality reminds us that discipleship doesn’t happen by accident. Like the Apostle Paul in Philippians 3, we are called to press on, pursue Christ, and engage with purpose in our spiritual walk and mission.
